Memphis July News: It's Hot

Had any good conversations about the weather lately? We don't know if anyone is talking about this, but has everyone noticed it's hot? Wanted to make sure it just wasn't us.

While the long slog of summer is upon us in the Bluff City, we're doing what we can to mitigate the effects.

Part of that is with our patio, complete with a fan which some helicopters are envious of. And beer, always, always beer.

This July we're going to be re-releasing a few limited run beers around town and around the tap room. We'll have some Soulful Ginger and Greenswarden Hefeweizen floating around this summer, but keep an eye out for more releases throughout the year.

We're doing more than brewing around here as well. We'll have several events throughout the month.

We're going to have Bingo Nights every Friday through July.

Cerrito Bingo is running it from 8 to 10 p.m. each Friday. It's free to play and you could win prizes each round.

Also, back by popular demand, we're hosting another corn hole tournament at the brewery. This one, starting at 2 p.m. on July 23, is double elimination.

Like bingo, it's free to enter. We'll have 32 teams with two people on each time. Prizes go out to first, second and third place.

You can register here.

Birmingham Sushi Classes are also returning to Memphis Made.

Their beginner sushi class will be 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, July 24.

Tickets are available at www.birminghamsushiclasses.com

It's $40 and includes sushi.

Finally, the Comma Comedians are coming back to the brewery on Thursday, July 28. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m.

They're going to be performing in the main room, although we're still only using the York Avenue entrance for the show.

We hope to see you around the brewery or around the city some this July. In the meantime, stay cool or at least keep a cool beer in your hand.
