Summer's Almost Gone

August is the home stretch of summer and we've got a full slate of activities, home and away, to help you get through it.

While some breweries are busy putting out their Oktoberfest beers (what's the rush?), we're concentrating on lighter fare appropriate for the Memphis summer. Keep an eye on our social media accounts for announcements on a variety of new beers, from pale ales to what beers, in the tap room and around town.

The tap room will be busy this month, starting this Sunday, which is National IPA Day. We're celebrating with a bunch of India Pale Ales at the tap room. It's open 1-9 p.m. with Fiesta Wagon parked outside as the food truck.

On Friday, Aug. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m., we're hosting Plunge to Expunge, a fundraiser for Just City's Clean Slate Fund, a program which supports expungement petitions in Shelby County.

The Comma Comedians return to the tap room Thursday, Aug. 18. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. It's only $2 and will be in the main room.

Birmingham Sushi Classes brings its popular beginner sushi class back to the brewery on Sunday, Aug. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. It's $40, which includes the sushi. Tickets can be purchased at www.birminghamsushiclasses.com.

And, by popular demand, we're extending our Bingo Nights & Cold Pints on Fridays. Cerrito Bingo will be at the tap room every Friday from 8 to 10 p.m., calling numbers and giving away prizes.

We're hitting the road quite a bit this month as well, doing tastings at Miss Cordelia's (Aug. 3), Buster's (Aug. 20), and Doc's (Aug. 27). Stop by for some samples of limited release beers and giveaways while meeting the people who brew your beer.

We're also attending Slider Inn's 5th Birthday Party (Aug. 6), a fundraiser for Downtown shooting victims Al Sakan and Josh Walton, at High Cotton Brewing Co. (Aug. 13), Art and Craft Beer at the Memphis Botanic Garden (Aug. 19), and the Bardog 5K (Aug. 28).

Stop by any of these events to have a few beers and maybe win some Memphis Made gear.
