The Cooper-Young Business Association and neighborhood businesses are joining the Cooper-Young Community Association and Memphis Made Brewing Co. to make June’s Pick Up For A Pint the biggest one yet.
Pick Up For A Pint is a monthly neighborhood trash pick up with a pint of beer as the reward. It’s normally the third Saturday of each month starting around 12:30.
This month, the pick up will start earlier, have a wider reach, and will have a goodie bag with rewards from neighborhood businesses.
Here are the steps for the pick up on Saturday, June 17:
1. 8:30-10 a.m. - Show up at Memphis Made and grab a trash grabber, a bag, and gloves that we’ll provide. We will have coffee and doughnuts while they last!
2. Pick up a map and area of concentration for your group, (there’s power in numbers) and go fill your bags up with litter!
3. Come back, drop your trash, and pick up your goodie bag that contains coupons and discounts for all the stores and breweries sponsoring the event.
4. Go shopping and support local and, for all of you over 21, enjoy a free pint from Memphis Made, Cooper House Project, and a $3 pint from Hammer and Ale (while supplies last).
The community sponsors for this pick up are Memphis Made, Cooper House Project, Hammer and Ale, 901 Toys, 901 Comics, Mo’Bay Beignet Co., Ounce of Hope, Goner Records, Burkes Books, Cooper-Young Gallery and Gift Shop, Celtic Crossing, and Memphis Fitness Kickboxing.
